ChatGPT prompts for marketing: 15 examples for small businesses

A good AI result starts with a good request. A poor prompt produces generic text; a clear prompt with context produces a useful draft. Below are 15 templates to adapt. Replace what is in brackets with your real business information and always review before publishing.

The structure of a good prompt

  1. Role: "You are a marketing copywriter for [type of business]".
  2. Context: who the customer is, city, tone of voice.
  3. Task: what you want, specifically.
  4. Format: length, list, table, number of options.
  5. Constraints: what it must not say (no promises, no invented numbers).

Content and social media

  1. "Suggest 10 post ideas for [business] in [city], aimed at [customer], answering frequent questions. Do not invent data."
  2. "Write 3 short captions for this product: [description]. Tone: [friendly/professional]. End with a call to message us."
  3. "Create a 30-second video script explaining [topic] for beginners, with an opening, 3 points and a closing."
  4. "Build a 4-week calendar with 3 posts per week for [business], alternating between tip, behind the scenes and social proof."

Customer service and sales

  1. "Write 5 short, polite replies to the question: '[customer question]'. Do not promise deadlines."
  2. "Create a follow-up message for someone who asked for a quote and did not reply, in a kind tone, in at most 3 lines."
  3. "Turn this proposal into clear text for the customer, highlighting benefits and next steps: [text]."
  4. "Suggest replies to this objection: 'it is too expensive'. Focus on value, without lowering the price right away."

Website, Google and ads

  1. "Rewrite this service page text to be clear and direct, with a title, 3 benefits and a call to action: [text]."
  2. "Create 5 title options (up to 60 characters) and descriptions (up to 155) for this page: [topic]."
  3. "Suggest 10 frequently asked questions about [service] that customers in [city] usually ask."
  4. "Write 3 ad versions for [offer], with a short headline, text of up to 90 characters and a call to action. No exaggeration and no promises of results."

Analysis and organization

  1. "Summarize these customer comments into strengths and points to improve, without inventing anything that is not in the text: [comments without personal data]."
  2. "Build a checklist for [process in my business] in short steps."
  3. "Review this text: fix errors, keep my tone and point out sentences that may sound exaggerated."

Always review

  • Check facts, prices, deadlines and names.
  • Remove promises you cannot keep.
  • Do not send customers' personal data to AI tools.
  • Adjust the text to your own way of speaking.

Frequently asked questions

Can I publish AI text without reviewing it?

It is not recommended. Check facts, numbers and tone of voice, and adjust the text to your style. You are responsible for what is published.

Which AI should I use?

The main tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude) all work. What matters most is the quality of your request and your review of the result.

Can I put customer data in the prompt?

Avoid it. Do not send personal or confidential data.
